My first marathon #SUNDOWN
1 June 2013
During the midst of the year, I kickstarted it with a 42.195km marathon!!
Oh my was it hard. It's been a week and I'm noting it down now hahaha.. I clocked it in at 6 hours 7 min. Average timing but still proud!
I wasn't top form that day, my period came on that day wtf sway to the max. Stomachache during the race and had to go shit hahaha. If not I think can sub 6 hours leh :(
Thigh cramped for a little while hahahaha, the body was really breaking down slowly, or rejecting these crazy distance.
I had runners high for a few km's at the 20km mark.. But it ended when stomachache kicked in again. The hydration stations were seriously my best friends and 100 plus was like holy water...
At about 34km I seriously wanted to cry already.. Hahaha but like what they say, look at how much you've achieved instead of how much you had left, which was like 8km :/
Legs were on the verge of breaking. But looking around me, everyone is in it together :')
One of the worst shit was that I added some slow ass songs accidentally into my running playlist, and it kept playing them wtf.
I paced a couple slowly and steadily for about 10km , I like them hahaha but I lost them cuz I couldn't keep up with them already..
The race started and ended at the Singapore Flyer. Crossing the finishing line was :')
The finishers tee is the best reward man hhaahaha gonna wear it everywhere I go lol. I don't know whether I will join another marathon cuz I swore it sundown 2013 was gonna be my first and last (during the race) HAHAHA.. It's maximal CRAZYYY.
